Sildenafil for erectile dysfunction is a medically approved treatment for men unable to achieve or maintain penile erections.

Mode of Action

Working in combination with sexual stimulation, Generic Sildenafil for erectile dysfunction relaxes and expands blood vessels by inhibiting the enzyme (PDE5) associated with penile muscle contraction. The resulting increase in blood flow to the penis makes achieving and maintaining penile erections easier.

Effectiveness

Sildenafil has been shown to improve erections in 80% of users (PubMed.Gov).  Effects typically last up to around 4 – 5 hours but may last longer in some cases.

Adequate sexual stimulation is, however, imperative for optimal results to be achieved.

Recommended Dosage

The recommended dose of Sildenafil is 50mg, to be taken on an empty stomach between 30 and 60 minutes prior to sexual activity. Depending on tolerability and efficacy, this may be decreased to 25mg or increased to 100mg (max. recommended dose).

The maximum dosing frequency recommended is one dose in 24 hours.
